DERMAPLANING

Say hello to skin that's never felt so smooth. Let's even your skin tone and texture with a gentle blade to take away any dead skin and wispy facial hair.

Dermaplaning?

What Is

Exfoliation is the key to any skin care program. Dermaplaning is a very effective exfoliation that uses a sterile blade to remove the superficial layers of dead skin cells and unwanted vellus hair. The effects are immediate with smooth, supple, vibrant skin with zero down time. This treatment is excellent on it's own or it can be added to most facial treatments enhancing direct absorption of serums and hydrating products.

The Benefits of Dermplaning

  • Easier makeup application with the removal of vellus hair.

  • A great treatment for those suffering from acne scars.

  • Improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

  • Non-invasive facial procedure.

Myth Busting

  • Dermaplaning will not cause your facial hair to grow back any thicker or darker.

How Often Should I do Dermaplaning?

  • For most of us, our skin turns over every 4 weeks. But we all have different amounts of peach fuzz on our face, so the timelines fluctuate between 4-6 weeks.

What To Expect?

The first step is to prepare your skin with a solution of witch-hazel and tea tree oils (proper preparation allows the dead skin cells to lift making them easier to remove.) Then using a sterile surgical blade your aesthetician will slowly and gently scrape off the layers of dead skin. The fine hair on your face called peach fuzz or vellus facial also gets removed with the dead cells leaving your skin smooth and softer than ever before. At Wyldflower Aesthetics, your Dermaplaning treatment is accompanied by a light spa facial. Ending with the application of moisture-rich rejuvenating treatments that include: Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C as well as gentle effective enzymes designed to speed up cellular turnover, lightening, tightening and brightening of your skin.  During this post-treatment facial, you can actually feel your skin soaking in the added moisture. Dermaplaning helps to even out your skin’s tone and texture. It removes pore-clogging dead skin and helps increase cell turnover.

The result – skin that glows – literally glows! It is no wonder Dermaplaning is becoming a popular skincare regimen!
